Sienna Betts, Lauren Betts’ Little Sister, Commits to UCLA: A Future Bruin Star in the Making

The UCLA Bruins are set to receive a major boost in a few years, as 6-foot-7 center Lauren Betts’ little sister, Sienna, is poised to join the squad in the 2025-26 season. Sienna, a highly touted prospect and the No. 3 overall player in her junior class, has committed to playing for UCLA despite her sister’s presence on the team.

In an interview with Gabby Alfveby of The Flagler College Gargoyle, Sienna made it clear that her decision to attend UCLA was not influenced by her sister’s presence on the team. “I wouldn’t say I’m following in her footsteps,” Sienna stated. “I liked UCLA; they were my dream school way before she went there, and it’s just a coincidence that we like the same school. We have the same taste in people.”

Sienna also revealed that her relationship with Lauren has not always been smooth sailing. “We do [get along] now, but when we were younger, we used to fight a lot,” Sienna admitted. “That was one of the main reasons I wasn’t going to go to Stanford when she was there. I just wanted to go my own separate way and do my own thing.”

Despite their past differences, Sienna and Lauren have grown closer in recent years. Sienna explained, “We’re really close now, which I like, obviously.” She also shared her competitive nature, stating, “I always just wanted to be better than Lauren. I had a trainer, and I would train with him every day and we just got in the gym a lot.”

With Sienna’s commitment to UCLA, the Bruins are looking forward to adding another talented player to their roster in the coming years. Fans can expect to see the Betts sisters dominating the court together in the near future.
