Siena Men’s Basketball Adds 7-Foot-1 Center Devin Brafford to Roster
LOUDONVILLE – The Siena men’s basketball program is gearing up for an exciting season under new head coach Gerry McNamara, and they have just added another talented player to their roster. On Wednesday, the Saints announced the signing of freshman Devin Brafford, a 7-foot-1, 205-pound center from Waynesville, North Carolina.
Brafford is McNamara’s third addition to the team as he continues to build a strong roster for the upcoming 2024-25 season. The young center brings a unique skill set to the team, with the ability to defend the rim effectively and contribute on the offensive end as well.
“Devin has all the tools to be a force at both ends of the court,” said McNamara in a press release. “He defends the rim at a high level and has the ability to initiate offense or face up on the perimeter. As he continues to develop and add strength, he has the potential to be a special talent for our team.”
Brafford attended high school at Rabun Gap–Nacoochee High School in Georgia before spending a post-grad year at Phoenix Prep in Arizona. His addition to the team adds depth to the frontcourt and provides the Saints with a promising young player to watch in the upcoming season.
In addition to Brafford, Siena has also added graduate transfer Myles Wilmoth and transfer Peter Carey to the roster. Wilmoth, a 6-foot-9 point guard, brings experience and shooting ability to the team, while Carey, who previously played for McNamara at Syracuse University, adds a strong work ethic and talent to the program.
With these new additions, the Siena men’s basketball team is shaping up to be a competitive force in the upcoming season. Fans can look forward to seeing Brafford, Wilmoth, and Carey in action as they help lead the Saints to success on the court.
