Kim Caldwell Names Nolan Harvath Director of Women’s Basketball Sports Performance at Tennessee
The Lady Vols basketball program at the University of Tennessee has made a significant addition to their staff with the hiring of Nolan Harvath as the director of women’s basketball sports performance. Harvath joins the program after a successful stint with West Virginia’s strength and conditioning staff, where he worked with various sports teams before focusing on football.
Harvath’s connection to Lady Vols head coach Kim Caldwell goes back to their time at Division II Glenville State, where he served as the director of strength and conditioning. During his tenure at Glenville State, Harvath also took on the role of assistant athletic director, showcasing his leadership abilities both on and off the field.
With a background in exercise science and a master’s degree in athletic coaching education, Harvath brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Lady Vols program. His responsibilities will include overseeing all strength and conditioning activities within the athletic department, as well as implementing program design and testing protocols.
Caldwell expressed her excitement about Harvath joining the team, stating, “I have had the pleasure of working with Nolan in the past, and he knows what we are trying to accomplish. He sees the vision we have and is dedicated to making sure we are the hardest working team in the country.”
