NBA TV Announces Commentary Lineup for Playoffs with Gus Johnson’s Return
NBA TV has announced a major addition to its commentary lineup ahead of the Playoffs, with the return of Fox Sports announcer Gus Johnson. This will be Johnson’s third consecutive year covering the Playoffs for NBA TV, and fans are excited to hear his energetic and passionate commentary once again.
Johnson will be joined by Jim Jackson, with Dennis Scott reporting for the duo. The announcement was made by Warner Bros. Discovery on Thursday, and Scott expressed his excitement by tweeting, “Let’s Go!”
NBA TV is set to broadcast nine games, starting with Game 2 between the Orlando Magic and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, April 22 at 7pm ET. Kevin Calabro and Brendan Haywood will be on the call for this game, with Lauren Jbara as the reporter.
Johnson, Jackson, and Scott will cover Game 2 between the Indiana Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, April 23 at 8:30pm ET. Calabro, Haywood, and Jbara will then return for Game 3 between Orlando and Cleveland on Thursday, April 25 at 7pm ET.
The remaining six games that NBA TV will broadcast have yet to be announced, but fans can expect top-notch commentary from the talented lineup of announcers.
The Playoffs are set to kick off on Saturday, with exciting matchups including LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers facing off against the Denver Nuggets. All games will be available on ESPN, except for the Lakers and Nuggets game, which will be broadcast on ABC.
