Creagh College Basketball Team Advances to All-Ireland Semi-Final

Creagh College’s basketball team is on a winning streak as they gear up for the final showdown against Mountmellick. After clinching the south-east regional championships in SETU against Coláiste Abhainn Rí from Callan in Kilkenny, the team is now eyeing the top spot in the upcoming final.

This year has been a remarkable one for Creagh College, as they moved up to the ‘C’ division after their Under-19s secured the Leinster title. The first and second-year players also shone brightly by winning the south-east regional titles in the ‘D’ division last year. The team’s hard work and dedication have truly paid off.

In a challenging All-Ireland qualifier in Portmarnock, Creagh had to face tough competition from three teams to secure their spot in the semi-final. Despite the grueling schedule of playing three games in one day, the team showed resilience and determination.

The semi-final match against St. Colman’s was a must-win situation for Creagh, and they rose to the occasion with a stellar performance. The players displayed great teamwork and skill, with standout performances from Alanas, Eoghan Moore, and J.P. Power.

The entire squad, including players like Pádraig Higgins and Mikie Murphy, played a crucial role in getting Creagh to this point. With the final just around the corner, the team is focused and determined to bring home the championship title.

Creagh College’s basketball squad has proven that hard work, dedication, and teamwork are the keys to success on the court. As they prepare to face Mountmellick in the final, fans can expect an exciting and competitive match from this talented team.
