High School Baseball Rankings: Daily News Final Top 10 – Harvard-Westlake Clinches League Title
Harvard-Westlake’s baseball team continues to dominate the competition as they secured the number one spot in the Daily News Baseball Final Top 10 rankings. The Wolverines finished the regular season with an impressive 23-4-1 overall record and a dominant 15-1-1 record in the Mission League.
Their recent six-game win streak included series sweeps of Loyola and Alemany, where they outscored their opponents 50-17. In their league-finale win over Alemany, Duncan Marsten stood out with a stellar performance, going 2 for 3 at the plate with a double, a triple, and five RBIs.
Following closely behind in the rankings is Westlake, who clinched their first Marmonte League title since 2011 with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Oaks Christian. Dylan Volantis played a crucial role in their success, pitching a one-hitter in the game.
Chaminade, Oaks Christian, Calabasas, Hart, West Ranch, Notre Dame, Sierra Canyon, and Birmingham round out the top 10 rankings, each showcasing their talent and determination throughout the season.
