St. Joseph Baseball Dominates Dominican in Metro Classic Conference Series Sweep
The St. Joseph baseball team showcased their talent and dominance on Thursday night as they run-ruled Whitefish Bay Dominican 12-2 in just six innings at Kapco Park in Mequon. The Lancers put on a show under the lights, earning a Metro Classic Conference series sweep in impressive fashion.
Pitcher Wyatt Hood delivered a stellar performance on the mound, allowing only four hits and two runs (both unearned) over six innings. Hood received strong defensive support from outfielders Dominic Rinaldi, Eric Kenesie, and Tim Falk. Not only did Hood excel on the mound, but he also contributed at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a walk, RBI, and run.
The Lancers’ offense was firing on all cylinders, with standout performances from Dominic Santarelli, Tim Falk, and Patrick Davidson. Santarelli showcased his power with two deep doubles, while Falk added a double of his own and Davidson delivered with a 2-for-3 performance, including four RBIs and two runs scored.
The team effort was evident as Peter Visconti, Zach Rizzo, and Matthew Ashmus all contributed runs, with Visconti and Tommy Santarelli driving in runs as well. The Lancers totaled nine hits and an impressive nine stolen bases in the game.
With this commanding victory, St. Joseph improves to 6-3 overall and 5-1 in conference play. They are set to face Martin Luther in their next matchup on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
In another notable game, Oak Creek demonstrated their prowess with a 16-4 victory over Indian Trail, showcasing why they are ranked No. 1 in the state. Despite a tough loss, Indian Trail showed resilience and determination throughout the game.
