Texas Rangers Unveil World Series Championship Rings in Pregame Ceremony
The Texas Rangers made history once again on Saturday as they unveiled their long-awaited championship rings in a pregame ceremony before their matchup against the Chicago Cubs at Globe Life Field. The players and coaches were presented with the rings, marking a significant milestone in the franchise’s history.
The rings, which were revealed on social media earlier in the day, feature intricate details that pay homage to the team’s journey to their first World Series title. One of the most unique features of the ring is the addition of leather from a baseball used in one of their four World Series wins over the Arizona Diamondbacks, showcasing the team’s road wins in the postseason.
The Rangers made a statement during their championship run, setting an MLB record for road wins and road winning streak with an 11-0 record as visitors. The ring also includes symbolic elements such as 16 emerald-cut diamonds to represent the 16 consecutive postseason games the Rangers homered in, as well as three diamonds under the players’ names with messages like “Compete with passion” and “Dominate the fundamentals.”
For many of the Rangers, this championship ring marks a first in their careers, while others have added to their collection of World Series rings. World Series MVP Corey Seager, reliever Will Smith, and manager Bruce Bochy are among those who have previously tasted championship success with other teams.
The unveiling of the championship rings was a special moment for the Rangers and their fans, as they continue to celebrate their historic achievement and look ahead to defending their title in the upcoming season.
