High School Baseball Roundup: Duluth Marshall and South Ridge Secure Victories
Tanner Carlson showcased his pitching prowess as Duluth Marshall dominated Cloquet with an 8-1 victory at Wade Stadium in Duluth. Carlson started the game with four no-hit innings, setting the tone for the Hilltoppers’ impressive performance.
Max Berrisford was a standout player for Duluth Marshall, contributing with a double, triple, an RBI, and scoring twice. The team’s offense was firing on all cylinders, while their defense held Cloquet at bay for most of the game.
Cloquet managed to get their first hit in the fifth inning, with Jack Battaglia driving in Luca Gentilini for their only run of the game. Despite their efforts, they couldn’t match the Hilltoppers’ strong performance.

In the Northern Lights Conference Indoor meet, Cade Lisson of Solon Springs/Northwood set a meet record in the 400 meters, showcasing his speed and agility. Despite his impressive performance, Washburn edged out Solon Springs/Northwood by 2 ½ points in a closely contested meet.
