Aquinas High School Baseball Team Dominates West Salem with 15-5 Victory
Aquinas High School’s baseball team had a dominant offensive performance in their 15-5 victory over West Salem on Saturday. The Blugolds, now 4-1 on the season, showcased their hitting prowess with 20 hits against West Salem’s pitchers.
Senior designated hitter Tanner Peterson led the charge for Aquinas, going 4 for 4 with a double, three RBIs, and two runs scored. Junior first baseman Kyle White also had a stellar game, going 4 for 4 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBIs.
Senior shortstop Eddie Peters contributed to the offensive onslaught with two doubles, two RBIs, and four runs scored. The team’s biggest inning came in the seventh, where they scored four runs to solidify their lead.
Junior center fielder Cullen Sackman and freshman third baseman John Deets also had impressive performances at the plate, each contributing multiple hits and RBIs to the team’s victory.
On the defensive side, Bryce Lenzendorf pitched a one-hitter for Prairie du Chien in their 5-0 win over G-E-T. The Red Hawks managed to avoid a no-hitter with a single in the fifth inning, but Lenzendorf’s strong pitching performance secured the win for Prairie du Chien.
Overall, it was a successful day for Aquinas High School and Prairie du Chien on the baseball field, showcasing their talent and determination as they continue their season.
