La Center Clinches Trico League Baseball Title with 12-2 Win over Castle Rock
La Center Wildcats secured the Trico League baseball title outright with a dominant 12-2 victory over Castle Rock on Thursday. The win improved their league record to 11-1, one game ahead of Seton Catholic.
This victory marks La Center’s fourth consecutive Trico League title, showcasing their dominance in the league. Standout performances from players like Wyatt Bethje, who went 3 for 3 with three RBI, and Smith Stimmel and Caden Taylor, who each had a strong showing at the plate, propelled the Wildcats to victory.
Looking ahead, La Center and Seton Catholic will kick off district tournament play on Tuesday at Castle Rock. King’s Way Christian also secured a spot in the district tournament as the Trico League’s No. 3 seed and will begin their campaign in Hoquiam on Tuesday.
