Center Hill baseball faces decisive game three against Grenada Monday evening

The Center Hill baseball team found themselves in a must-win situation after a tough 4-3 loss to Grenada in eight innings on Saturday afternoon. The Chargers were able to even the series at one game each, setting up a decisive game three on Monday evening at Center Hill.

Grenada took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, but Center Hill fought back with three runs in the fifth inning to take the lead. However, the Chargers were able to tie the game at 3-3 to force extra innings. In the end, a single to right field with two outs in the eighth inning scored the winning run for Grenada in walk-off fashion.

Ayden Rodgers and Jamaryon Warren each had two hits for the Mustangs, while Houston Green drove in a pair of runs. Despite their efforts, Center Hill fell short in the crucial game two matchup.

Mac Atkins was tagged with the loss for Center Hill, allowing four runs on seven hits. Atkins walked four batters and struck out four in the tough outing.

With the series tied at 1-1, all eyes are now on the decisive game three on Monday evening at Center Hill.
