Landen Maroudis is making waves in the world of baseball as he continues to live out his childhood dream of playing professionally. The 19-year-old pitcher from Calvary Christian High School in Clearwater, Fla., was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays last year and has quickly made a name for himself in the minor leagues.

Despite originally committing to play college baseball at North Carolina State, Maroudis seized the opportunity to start his pro career with the Blue Jays. His hard work and dedication paid off when he earned a spot on the Dunedin Blue Jays roster out of Spring Training this season.

Pitching coach Cory Riordan has been impressed with Maroudis’ performance, noting that he has seamlessly transitioned from high school to the minor leagues. With an ERA below 1.00, Maroudis is already ranked as the Blue Jays’ 11th best prospect in the organization.
