Cotter’s Baseball Team Dominates in Doubleheader Against Fillmore Central
Cotter’s baseball team continued their winning streak with a dominant performance in a road doubleheader against Fillmore Central on Friday. The Ramblers showcased their strength on both offense and defense, securing victories with scores of 14-2 and 12-2.
In the first game, senior Jack Spiten led the charge on the mound, pitching four strong innings and striking out eight batters to help secure a 12-run victory. Sophomore Myles Bruemmer had a standout performance at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, while senior Brett Biesanz contributed with two hits, an RBI, and two runs scored.
The second game saw another impressive pitching display from senior Jon Going, who struck out eight batters over four innings to lead the Ramblers to a 10-run win. Bruemmer continued his hot streak, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, while senior James Bublitz added to the offensive firepower with a 2-for-4 performance and two RBI.
With these back-to-back wins, Cotter improved their overall record to 6-0 and maintained their perfect conference record at 6-0. The Ramblers have been firing on all cylinders, showcasing a balanced attack of strong pitching and potent hitting.
