Central Lakes College Raiders Swept by Alexandria in Weekend Doubleheaders
The Central Lakes College Raiders faced tough competition in a doubleheader against Alexandria over the weekend, resulting in two losses for the team.
In the first game, Devin Waldorf stood out with a double and an RBI, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win as the Raiders fell 8-1. Taevyn Brown managed to record the only hit for the Raiders in Game Two, showcasing his skills on the field by stealing two bases.
Despite their efforts, the Raiders were unable to turn the tide in the second game, losing 10-0 to Alexandria. The team’s Division record now stands at 6-6, with an overall record of 7-16.
In a previous matchup with Alexandria on Saturday, April 20, the Raiders also suffered losses of 15-2 and 10-0. Justin StalBoerger, Josh Kossan, and Braxden Stewart put up a solid effort in Game One, with StalBoerger hitting a double and Thorn and Waldorf each driving in a run. However, the team couldn’t secure a victory in either game.
Looking ahead, the Raiders will have a chance to bounce back as they host Vermilion on Wednesday, April 24 at 2 p.m. Despite the recent setbacks, the team remains determined to improve and showcase their skills on the field in the upcoming games.
