Welcome back, DII sports fans! This week in DII baseball, there’s a new No. 1 in the Power 10 rankings as Central Missouri takes the top spot. The regular season is winding down, and teams are gearing up for their conference tournaments.
Central Missouri’s big series win over Missouri Southern propelled them to the top of the rankings all by themselves for the first time this season. With an impressive 43-6 record and one of the toughest strengths of schedule in DII, Central Missouri has proven themselves as a force to be reckoned with.
As the conference tournaments approach, predictions for the No. 1 seeds in each region are starting to take shape. Teams like Millersville, Southern New Hampshire, and Tampa are looking strong heading into the postseason.
In other news, standout performances from athletes like Sydney Tiemann, Mike Jerrell, Aleese Angelo, and Sarah Brown have been making waves in DII sports.
