Bellefonte Baseball Celebrates Senior Night with 9-3 Win Over Hollidaysburg
The Bellefonte baseball team put on a show on Senior Night, as they cruised to a 9-3 victory over Hollidaysburg. The Red Raiders offense was firing on all cylinders, finishing with double digit hits in the win.
Before the game, Bellefonte honored their seniors with a special ceremony, recognizing seven players and one senior manager. The seniors honored were Josh Brown, Jacob Corman, Ryan Fraley, Trevor Johnson, Braedyn Kormanic, Levi Purnell, Ethan Thomasacci, and Addie Lose.
Pitcher Braedyn Kormanic had a standout performance, picking up the win on the mound and going 2-for-3 at the plate with a homer and a double, collecting three RBIs in the process. Levi Brown also had a strong showing, going 3-for-4 with a run scored.
Bellefonte’s timely hitting was on full display throughout the game, with the Red Raiders capitalizing on numerous two-out rallies to secure the win.
Head coach Joni Clark praised his team’s mentality, stating, “I thought our guys did a great job of going in with the right mentality. We attacked the baseball the right way.”
The Red Raiders got off to a hot start, with Kormanic launching a 2-run homer in the first inning to set the tone for the game. The offense continued to produce, adding runs in the second, third, and fourth innings to build a comfortable lead.
Defensively, Bellefonte held Hollidaysburg to just three runs on six hits, while their offense pounded out 12 hits of their own. With the win, Bellefonte improved to 15-3 on the season.
Next up for Bellefonte is a road matchup against Clearfield on Wednesday. The Red Raiders will look to carry their momentum from Senior Night into their upcoming games as they continue their quest for a successful season.
