“Union College ADay4U Giving Challenge: Support Union Athletics and College Programs”
Union College to Host ADay4U Giving Challenge to Support Athletics Programs
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Union College is gearing up for its annual giving challenge, ADay4U, set to take place on Tuesday, April 16 and Wednesday, April 17. This two-day event will bring together students, alumni, friends, parents, and staff for 1,795 minutes of celebrating and supporting Union Athletics.
The funds raised during ADay4U will help supplement team budgets and enhance the overall experience for the nearly 600 student-athletes at Union College. This includes upgraded travel accommodations, expanded team apparel, additional technology equipment, and more.
Several challenges have been set up to encourage donations to specific athletic programs. For example, donations to the Women’s Athletics Fund will be matched 2:1 by Don Lehmann ’66, up to $50,000. Similarly, 80 donors to the baseball team will unlock $8,000 from John Busterud ’76, and 225 donors to the football team will unlock $10,000 from Keith ’95 and Nicole ’94 Lombardo.
In addition to the athletic challenges, there are also college-wide challenges in place. For instance, 500 donors will unlock $15,000 from Trustee David Breazzano ’78 and Denise Breazzano, while 1,795 donors will unlock an impressive $75,000 from the same donors.
