Young Athletes from Reliance Foundation to Compete in Asian Junior Athletics Championships in Dubai

Reliance Foundation’s young athletes are all set to showcase their talent on the international stage as they gear up to participate in the Asian Junior Athletics Championships in Dubai. After a successful start to their season at the National Junior Federation Athletics Championships, the athletes will be looking to make their mark against tough competition from across Asia.

The team of six athletes from RF, including Bapi Hansda, DM Jayaram, Mahendra Santa, Sabita Toppo, Sakshi Chavan, and Navpreet Singh, will be aiming to continue their impressive form at the upcoming championships. With their first international competition of the year, the athletes are focused and determined to give their best performance.

Head Coach Martin Owens expressed his confidence in the young athletes, highlighting their progress and dedication to the sport. He mentioned the standout performances of Mahendra Santa, who has shown significant improvement and confidence after breaking his personal best at the Junior Fed Cup.

Star athlete Bapi Hansda, who has already set a new Championship record and qualified for the World Jr. Athletics Championships, is eager to compete against the best in Asia. With a strong preparation and support from his coach, Bapi is determined to excel in the upcoming championships and use it as valuable preparation for the World Junior Athletics Championships later this year.

The team will be competing in various events, with Bapi participating in three events including the men’s 400m and relay races. Other athletes like Jayaram and Navpreet Singh will also be eyeing medals in their respective events, showcasing the depth of talent in the RF team.

With a strong performance at the National Junior Federation Athletics Championships, the RF athletes are ready to take on the challenge at the Asian Junior Athletics Championships and make their mark on the international stage.
