In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Indian athlete Tejaswin Shankar emerged victorious in the men’s high jump event at the Shocker Spring Invitational 2024 athletics competition in Kansas. Shankar, who won the silver medal in the decathlon at the Asian Games 2023, is now focusing on the high jump event for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics. With a personal best of 2.29m, which is also a national record set in 2018, Shankar is determined to meet the Paris 2024 qualifying standard of 2.33m.
Having previously clinched a bronze medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, Shankar’s consistent performances and dedication to his craft make him a strong contender in the high jump event. As he continues to strive for excellence, fans and supporters eagerly anticipate his future achievements on the international stage.
