Indian Men’s Relay Team Ready to Take on World’s Best Sprinters at World Relays in the Bahamas

The stage is set in the Bahamas for the World Relays this weekend, where the cream of world sprinters, including American star Noah Lyles, reigning Italian Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs, and Dutchwoman Femke Bol, have gathered. Among them are the Indian relay teams, who have been training in the tropical paradise for a month in preparation for this crucial event.

The Indian men’s 4x400m relay team, consisting of Muhammed Anas Yahiya, Amoj Jacob, Muhammad Ajmal Variyathodi, and Rajesh Ramesh, have already made headlines by shattering the Asian record. Their impressive performances at the World Championships and Asian Games have set the stage for a strong showing at the World Relays, where they aim to secure direct qualification for the Paris Olympics.

The Indian sprinters have been facing the challenges of the unpredictable weather in the Bahamas, including heat, rain, strong winds, and chilly days. However, their early arrival has allowed them to acclimatize and adapt to the conditions, giving them a competitive edge in the races ahead.

With the top two teams from each heat earning Paris spots and a place in the World Relays final, the pressure is on for the Indian relay teams to deliver their best performances. Under the guidance of coach Jason Dawson, the focus has been on ramping up speed and explosiveness to improve their relay timing and secure their Olympic berths.

Despite the challenges posed by the world-class competition at the World Relays, the Indian relay squads are confident in their abilities to compete at the highest level. With a strong sense of belief and determination, they are ready to take on the best in the world and secure their spots at the Paris Olympics.
