Cam Coleman Shines in Auburn’s A-Day Spring Game

Cam Coleman, a highly touted recruit from Central-Phenix City, made a statement in Auburn’s A-Day spring game, showcasing his potential as a key contributor for the Tigers. Despite not having seen much playing time yet, Coleman’s performance on the field was nothing short of impressive.

In the game, Coleman was named the A-Day Offensive MVP after hauling in four passes for a total of 92 yards. One of his standout plays was a 34-yard touchdown catch, which was the only touchdown scored by Auburn’s offense in their 28-27 victory at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Reflecting on his performance, Coleman admitted that he usually gets nervous before games, but on this occasion, he was calm and focused. His ability to stay composed and deliver on the field speaks volumes about his potential as a playmaker for the Tigers.

Not only did Coleman shine, but former Auburn High kicker Towns McGough also had a standout performance, filling in for the injured Alex McPherson. McGough nailed all six of his field goal attempts, with his longest kick coming from 49 yards out.

The A-Day scrimmage provided a platform for local talents like Coleman and McGough to showcase their skills and make a case for more playing time in the upcoming season. With their impressive performances, both players have undoubtedly caught the attention of the coaching staff and fans alike.

As the Tigers look ahead to the upcoming season, the emergence of players like Coleman and McGough adds depth and talent to the roster, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead. Auburn fans have every reason to be excited about the potential impact these young stars can make on the team.
