Navy Women’s Swimmer Gabi Baldwin Named CSC Academic All-American
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy women’s swimmer Gabi Baldwin has been recognized as a Third Team Academic All-American for her sport by the College Sports Communicators. This prestigious honor makes Baldwin the sixth Navy women’s swimmer to receive this accolade, with the last recipient being Ellen Bradford in 2016. This also marks the 14th time in the last 18 years that a Navy men’s or women’s swimmer has been named an Academic All-American by the organization.
Baldwin, a senior from Lake Elmo, Minn., boasts an impressive 3.53 cumulative grade-point average as a political science major. She has been a standout both in the pool and in the classroom, earning first-team all-league honors in each of her three years and winning titles in the 200 backstroke in 2022 and the 200 individual medley in 2024. Baldwin has also achieved NCAA B cut times in multiple events throughout her career.
In addition to her athletic achievements, Baldwin was named to her third Patriot League All-Academic Team after the conclusion of the 2024 season. She is the first Mid and third Patriot League student-athlete to earn this prestigious accolade during the 2023-24 academic year.
Baldwin’s dedication to excellence both in academics and athletics has solidified her as one of the top student-athletes in the country.
