High School Baseball Roundup: Pierz, Pequot Lakes, PRB, Aitkin in Action on April 22
In a thrilling baseball matchup on Monday, April 22, the Pierz Pioneers dominated the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines with a final score of 13-1. Max Barclay was the star of the game, going 3-3 with a home run, two RBIs, and three runs scored. Chase Becker also had an impressive performance, going 1-4 with a double, three RBIs, and three runs scored. Brayden Haberman pitched a fantastic game, striking out eight over five innings and only allowing one unearned run on three hits and three walks.
In another exciting game, the Pequot Lakes Patriots secured a 22-6 victory over Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin. Conner Quale led the Patriots with a 3-for-5 performance, tallying four runs and four RBIs. John Pelarski pitched a solid game, striking out two and giving up two earned runs in 6.1 innings.
