Safety Precautions and Procedures for “Break the Siege of Gaza Freedom Flotilla” Mission by Muhammad Hafizuddin Mohd Yusof

The “Break the Siege of Gaza Freedom Flotilla” mission is gearing up for a challenging yet crucial journey to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. With safety as the primary concern, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the well-being of all participants.

Dr. Fauziah Hasan, a member of the FFC Steering Committee, reassured participants that 1,500 safety jackets have been provided, emphasizing the importance of safety briefings covering various aspects such as emergency procedures and communication with Israeli naval forces.

Media personnel, including Malaysian journalists Muhammad Hafizuddin Mohd Yusof and Mohammad Nulhakim Jailan from Bernama, are also part of the mission. Dr. Fauziah highlighted the separation of activists and media personnel during potential provocations, emphasizing the need for clear identification.

As the flotilla approaches Gaza, tensions may rise as negotiations with the Israeli navy could determine the outcome of the mission. However, the FFC is well-prepared with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to handle any potential incidents that may arise.

The international coalition of activists from 30 countries, including Malaysia, has gathered in Istanbul for final preparations before setting sail. The mission aims to shed light on the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza and provide much-needed aid to the region.

With the safety and well-being of participants at the forefront, the “Break the Siege of Gaza Freedom Flotilla” mission is poised to make a significant impact in delivering aid to those in need. Stay tuned for updates on this important humanitarian mission.
