Kentucky/Indiana Basketball All-Star Series Comes to Lexington Featuring Top Players
The annual Kentucky/Indiana Basketball All-Star Series is set to take place in Lexington this year, showcasing some of the commonwealth’s top players, including the 2024 Mr. and Miss Basketball winners.
Kentucky signee Travis Perry of Lyon County and Southern Miss signee Trinity Rowe of Pikeville will lead their respective teams wearing the No. 1 jerseys, as announced by the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches.
The boys senior all-stars roster includes standout players such as Warren Central’s Kade Unseld, Christian Academy-Louisville’s Jackson “BB” Washington, and Lyon County’s Brady Shoulders. Representing the 11th Region is Lexington Catholic’s Tyler Doyle.
On the girls senior all-star rosters are players like Sacred Heart’s Reagan Bender and Angelina Pelayo, along with Russell’s Shaelyn Steele. Frederick Douglass’ Ayanna-Sarai Darrington will represent the 11th Region.
The teams will be coached by experienced mentors, with Iroquois’ Jeff Morrow leading the boys team and Pikeville’s Kristy Orem coaching the girls team.
The Kentucky leg of the all-star series will be held at Lexington Catholic High School on June 7, followed by the Indiana leg at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on June 8.
Last year, the Kentucky boys and girls teams split their games with Indiana, each winning at their home venue. Indiana currently leads the boys series 103-45 and the girls series 53-41.
