Local Golf Teams Heating Up in Recent Competitions
Local golf teams in the Sturgis area have been hitting the links with fierce competition as their seasons heat up. The Sturgis Trojans have been making their mark in recent jamborees, showcasing their skills and determination on the course.
In their most recent jamboree, the Trojans shot a team score of 196, with standout performances from Graeme Herald, Tyler Sikorski, and Luke Frost. Head coach Nate Schwartz expressed optimism for the team’s continued improvement as they strive for success in upcoming competitions.

Meanwhile, the Colon golf team secured a victory over Mendon with a score of 184-214 at States Golf Course. Jonny Greenwald led the Magi with a solid round of 40, showcasing his talent and contributing to the team’s success.
Mendon also participated in a two-day event in Traverse City, with standout performances from Cam Bingaman and Matt Bakeman. The Hornets displayed their skills on the challenging courses, demonstrating their resilience and determination in the face of tough competition.
In a recent SW10 jamboree, Cassopolis emerged victorious with a score of 181, showcasing their strength and skill on the course. White Pigeon also put up a strong performance, with Isaiah Ryall leading the Chiefs with a fourth-place finish.
