Elena Rybakina Claims Stuttgart Title After Beating Iga Swiatek in Semi-Finals; Live Tennis Continues on Sunday with Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Casper Ruud in Barcelona ahead of the Madrid Open live on Sky Sports Tennis throughout next week
Elena Rybakina continued her dominant form in 2024 by claiming the Stuttgart title after a convincing victory over Marta Kostyuk in the final of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. The Kazakhstani fourth seed put on a masterclass performance as she defeated Kostyuk 6-2 6-2 to secure her third title of the year.
Rybakina, who had already defeated world No 1 Iga Swiatek in the semi-finals, showed no mercy in the final as she broke Kostyuk’s serve early in both sets to establish her dominance. Despite Kostyuk’s efforts to mount a comeback, Rybakina’s powerful game proved to be too much for her opponent to handle.
After the match, Rybakina expressed her gratitude to her team, the tournament organizers, and the fans for their support throughout the week. She now sets her sights on the upcoming Madrid Open, where she will look to continue her winning streak.
For Kostyuk, it was a tough loss in her second final of the year, following her defeat in the San Diego Open in March. However, the Ukrainian player showed great sportsmanship in congratulating Rybakina on her victory.
