Yacht Club Costa Smeralda Announces Exciting 2024 Regatta Season with Princess Zahra Aga Khan

The Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS) is gearing up for an action-packed sports season in 2024, with a lineup of exciting regattas scheduled from May to October. The prestigious club, located in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, has a long-standing partnership with Rolex, celebrating 40 years of collaboration this year.

Princess Zahra Aga Khan, President of the YCCS Board of Directors, kicked off the event with a speech highlighting the club’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and respect for the sea. She emphasized the importance of promoting these values through the sport of sailing and supporting the new generations.

Alongside Rolex, YCCS has partnered with Range Rover, Allianz, Quantum Sails, Slam, Garmin Marine, and Technogym to ensure a successful season ahead. The regatta calendar was officially presented by Edoardo Recchi, the Secretary-General and Sports Director of YCCS.

The season will kick off with the RAN 630 – Naval Academy Regatta in April, followed by the Sailing & Golf event in May. June will see the Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta, the J/24 European Championship, the Grand Soleil Cup, and the Smeralda 888 Invitational and European Cup.

July will feature the YCCS J/70 Sailing Clinic, while August will host the YCCS Social Championship and the Formenton Trophy. In September, the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup and the Rolex Swan Cup will take center stage, attracting an impressive fleet of yachts from around the world.

With a diverse range of regattas and events planned throughout the season, the YCCS is set to continue its legacy as a leading destination for competitive sailing. Stay tuned for thrilling races and exciting moments on the water as the 2024 season unfolds.
