Detroit High School Sports Awards Nominees for Hockey Player of the Year

The excitement is building as the Detroit High School Sports Awards, presented by Detroit Area Honda Dealers, announces the nominees for the prestigious Hockey Player of the Year award. The winner will be revealed during the live show on June 18 at The Fillmore Detroit, with the event being produced in partnership with the U.S. Army.

This nine-month student-athlete recognition program will culminate in a red-carpet show this spring, honoring athletes, coaches, and teams from the greater Detroit region that participate in Michigan High School Athletic Association sports.

The live show will not only celebrate the nominees for Hockey Player of the Year but also recognize outstanding players in 28 other sports. Additionally, premier awards will be presented for on- and off-the-field achievements, including a Courage Award, Coaches of the Year, Teams of the Year, and the Boys and Girls Athlete of the Year awards.

All nominees who RSVP will receive complimentary tickets to the event, thanks to generous sponsors. Nominated athletes can register for the show, while guests can purchase tickets online.

The nominees for Hockey Player of the Year include Will Barrett from Trenton High School, Joe Curtin from Novi Detroit Catholic Central High School, Garrett Dudlar from Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood School, Cam Duffany from Brighton High School, Nolan Galda from Novi Detroit Catholic Central High School, and John Kunz from Birmingham Brother Rice High School.

Stay tuned for updates on the show and get ready to celebrate the outstanding achievements of these talented student-athletes at the Detroit High School Sports Awards.
