Fox Sports and The Basketball Tournament (TBT) Reach Multiyear Television Agreement for 2024 Tournament

Fox Sports and The Basketball Tournament (TBT) have announced a multiyear agreement to televise the 2024 tournament, featuring 27 games on Fox, FS1, and FS2. The $1 million winner-take-all event has been gaining popularity over the years, with a record 77,000 fans attending games last year.

TBT co-owner and Golden State Warriors guard Chris Paul expressed his excitement about the tournament’s growth, stating, “With a growing number of players I’ve crossed paths within the league committed to play, this summer will be both competitive and entertaining for TBT.”

The tournament, now entering its 11th year, will feature 64 teams hosted across eight regionals, with each regional event hosted by an alum team representing a prominent college basketball program. The regionals will run from July 19-24, with one team from each region advancing to the quarterfinals on July 29-30. The semifinals will take place on Aug. 2, leading up to the $1 million championship game on Aug. 4.

TBT founder and CEO Jon Mugar expressed his excitement about the partnership with Fox, stating, “Across Fox, FS1, and FS2, we will reach more basketball fans than ever before, further cementing TBT as a mainstay on the basketball calendar.”

The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed, but with the tournament’s exponential growth and the high stakes involved, TBT is sure to continue captivating audiences and players alike.
