From Baseball to Lacrosse: Framingham Senior Noah Albright Makes the Switch
Noah Albright, a standout athlete in Framingham, has made a surprising switch from baseball to lacrosse in his senior year of high school. Known for his prowess on the baseball diamond and the hockey rink, Albright’s friends were shocked to see his natural talent with a lacrosse stick.
Albright’s introduction to the sport came during a captains’ practice organized by the Goldberg twins, Mitch and Henry. Despite never having played lacrosse before, Albright quickly impressed his friends with his accuracy and skill. His hockey background certainly played a role in his quick adaptation to the new sport.
Framingham’s lacrosse coach, AJ Mulvey, himself a former baseball player turned lacrosse captain, was impressed by Albright’s decision to try something new in his final year of high school. Mulvey praised Albright’s energy and athleticism, noting that while he may make mistakes, he does so with aggression and a willingness to learn.
Despite the challenges of joining a team with many talented players, Albright found support and guidance from his teammates, including senior Alex Trierweiler. With the Flyers off to a strong start this season, Albright has quickly become a valuable asset to the team.
While Albright’s future lies in hockey at Fairfield University, his foray into lacrosse has been a rewarding experience. Stepping out of his comfort zone and embracing a new challenge, Albright has found a love for the sport and a sense of camaraderie with his teammates.
As Albright continues to excel on the lacrosse field, his friends and coaches are excited to see where his newfound passion for the sport will take him. With his natural talent and determination, Albright is sure to make a lasting impact on the Framingham lacrosse program.
