Lagos State Sports Commission DG highlights opportunities for talent discovery and nurturing in the state
The Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC) is on a mission to discover and nurture talents in the state, with the aim of providing opportunities for budding stars to excel. According to the Director-General of LSSC, Lekan Fatodu, the key to success lies in having the right infrastructure, expertise, and collaboration with critical stakeholders.
As part of their efforts, the LSSC recently hosted international American Football players, Odafe Oweh and Jesse Luketa, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos. The program, titled “Pep Talk, Meet and Greet with Members of American Football League,” aimed to inspire young people and provide insights on how to effectively nurture their passion for sports, drawing from the NFL experience of the players.
Fatodu emphasized Lagos as a hub for sports development and highlighted the importance of expanding sporting activities and engagements in the state.
