LSU senior gymnast Haleigh Bryant has had a remarkable season, culminating in her winning the prestigious AAI Award (Heisman Trophy equivalent) and leading the Tigers to their fifth SEC title in program history. Bryant’s outstanding performance throughout the season has solidified her as one of the top gymnasts in the nation.
Bryant’s journey to success began with her victory in the All-Around title at the SEC Championships, where she scored an impressive 39.800. This win set the stage for LSU to clinch the SEC title with a total score of 198.075. However, Bryant’s accolades did not stop there.
On March 15th, Bryant was named a finalist for the AAI Award, and on April 17th, she was announced as the winner, making her the fourth recipient of the prestigious award in LSU history.
