BODYARMOR Announced as Official Sports Drink of the NHL and NHLPA, Unveiling Partnership at 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs

BODYARMOR Sports Drink has made a power move in the sports world by becoming the official sports drink of the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA). This exciting new partnership will be unveiled at the start of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday, April 20.

As part of the multi-year agreement, BODYARMOR will hydrate NHL players with its sports drink on benches during games and practices, as well as in locker rooms and training facilities. The BODYARMOR logo and branding will also be prominently featured on hydration equipment such as coolers, squirt bottles, and towels on NHL benches.

NHL Senior Vice President, Global Business Development, Kyle McMann expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “As an industry leader in sports hydration, BODYARMOR is a natural fit to bring on as our Official Sports Drink partner. This is a game-changing partnership.”

Tom Gargiulo, CMO of BODYARMOR Sports Nutrition, echoed this sentiment, saying, “NHL Players demand the best in hydration, so we’re proud to be able to provide BODYARMOR Sports Drink options to some of the best athletes in the world.”

The partnership will also include exclusive custom content and media integrations featuring top NHL players, including BODYARMOR’s newest athlete partner, Connor McDavid. The Edmonton Oilers superstar expressed his excitement about joining the BODYARMOR team and the brand’s expansion into Canada.

In addition to supporting NHL players, BODYARMOR will also be involved in youth initiatives, including the NHL STREET youth hockey league and the Under-18 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) youth tournament. To celebrate the launch, BODYARMOR is offering hockey fans the opportunity to play ice hockey for free at select rinks in the United States and Canada on June 8 through their ‘ICE ON US’ initiative.

This partnership marks a significant milestone for BODYARMOR as they continue to disrupt the sports drink category and expand their reach to new consumers. With their commitment to superior hydration and innovation, BODYARMOR is poised to make a lasting impact on the world of hockey.
