Azerbaijani Gymnasts to Compete in 2024 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Doha
Azerbaijani gymnasts are gearing up to showcase their skills at the 2024 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Doha. The talented team, led by coaches Eldar Safarov, Ruslan Irgashev, and Olga Barkalava, will be represented by Rasul Ahmadzade, Mansum Safarov, Ivan Tikhonov, Nikita Simonov, Murad Agarzayev, and Nazanin Teymurova.
The competition, organized by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), will see 200 top gymnasts from 50 countries vying for a spot at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Doha will host the final event in the Apparatus World Cup series, following stops in Cairo, Cottbus, and Baku.
Azerbaijan will also be represented by judges Zakaria Muradli and Ahmat Aghayev at the prestigious event, which will take place from April 17 to 20. The team will compete in various disciplines such as pommel horse, parallel bars, rings, pole vault, gymnastic beam, and free movements.
The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris will see athletes from around the world competing in a wide range of sports, including the debut of breakdancing as an Olympic event. Paris will become the second city, after London, to host the Summer Olympics three times.
