Mustafizur Rahman’s CSK Stint Extended: Bangladesh Pacer to Play Against PBKS on May 1
Mustafizur Rahman’s stint with the Chennai Super Kings in the ongoing IPL season has been extended by a day, allowing him to participate in the crucial clash against Punjab Kings on May 1. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) granted this extension, broadening Mustafizur’s availability for CSK’s upcoming matches against Lucknow Super Giants, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and PBKS.
After fulfilling his IPL commitments, Mustafizur will join Bangladesh’s T20I series against Zimbabwe from May 3 to 12. Following that, he will travel to Texas for a match against the United States of America on May 21.
BCB’s deputy manager of cricket operations, Shahriar Nafees, confirmed the extension, stating that it was done in response to requests from Chennai and the BCCI. Mustafizur’s impressive performance in the IPL so far, with ten wickets at an average of 18.30, reflects his resurgence after a lukewarm performance in the T20I series against Sri Lanka.
Despite facing challenges, Mustafizur remains a key player in Bangladesh’s T20I squad and has secured a spot in the T20 World Cup squad. His consistent success in both domestic and international cricket highlights his importance in Bangladesh’s cricketing landscape.
As Mustafizur continues to shine in the IPL and gears up for national duty, fans can expect to see more stellar performances from the talented bowler in the upcoming matches.
