Former NRL Stars Shine in Round One of Central Coast Rugby League Season

Former NRL players clashed in round one of the Central Coast Rugby League season, with a former Origin and Kangaroos representative emerging as a winner in the action-packed matches.

Toukley kicked off their title defense in perfect fashion with a 12-4 victory over local rivals Wyong. Despite a close first half, Toukley managed to seal the win with a late try from Ben Neville. Captain-coach Jake Fitzpatrick praised his team’s effort and defense, highlighting the strong performance of the forward pack.

The Entrance Tigers made a statement with a 48-0 demolition of Berkeley Vale, with halfback Nick Newman scoring three tries and kicking five goals. Coach Jarod Hamer praised his team’s performance and highlighted the importance of a strong defensive mentality for the Tigers this season.
