BASEBALL: Sandwich Dominates with an 11-0 Victory over Genoa-Kingston
In a dominating performance, the Sandwich Indians baseball team secured a resounding 11-0 victory over Genoa-Kingston. The Indians improved their record to 8-5 with an impressive display of offensive firepower and solid pitching.
The game was effectively put out of reach in the fourth inning when Sandwich exploded for eight runs, leaving Genoa-Kingston struggling to keep up. Jeffery Ashley, Tyler Lissman, Braden Behringer, and Dino Barbanente all had stellar performances at the plate, each collecting two hits. Lissman stood out with a double and four RBIs, while Barbanente added a double and an RBI to his name. The team’s hitting prowess was further highlighted by Chris Barbor, Nick Michalek, and Taylor Adams, who each smacked a double during the game.

The Sandwich Indians softball team also had a successful outing, defeating Genoa-Kingston 8-6 to improve their record to 9-2 on the season. Jillian Ashley and Johnna Freemon led the offensive charge with two hits each, while Peyton Dudzik delivered a solid pitching performance to secure the win.
Overall, it was a day of triumph for the Sandwich Indians in both baseball and softball, showcasing their strength and determination on the field.
