Denver Pioneers Claim 10th NCAA Hockey Championship, Defeat Boston College 2-0
The University of Denver Pioneers have etched their name in college hockey history once again, claiming their record 10th NCAA national championship with a 2-0 victory over the Boston College Eagles in the 2024 NCAA Frozen Four championship game.
In a thrilling showdown at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, goaltender Matt Davis stood tall with 35 saves to shut down the high-powered Eagles offense and secure the historic win for the Pioneers. Jared Wright and Rieger Lorenz provided the offensive firepower with goals in the second period, propelling DU to their 10th title and solidifying their status as the best program in college hockey.
Head coach David Carle praised his team’s resilience and teamwork, emphasizing their unwavering commitment to each other and the program.
