Bark River-Harris Baseball Dominates Stephenson in Doubleheader Sweep
BARK RIVER — The Bark River-Harris baseball team showcased their dominance on Thursday as they swept a doubleheader against Stephenson with scores of 12-2 and 10-0.
Despite a rainy and overcast day, the Broncos came out firing on all cylinders, bouncing back from a tough loss earlier in the week. Head coach Al Botwright was pleased with the team’s performance, noting the stark improvement from their previous game.
The Broncos wasted no time taking control of the first game, with Charlie Guenette and Troy Johnson leading the charge with key hits to give Bark River-Harris an early lead. Pitcher Hall put on a stellar performance, allowing only two runs on two hits while racking up six strikeouts.
In the second game, the Broncos continued their offensive onslaught, with Ethan Ives and Dominick Lantagne delivering clutch hits to extend the lead. Pitchers Jared Reynolds and Gabe Spear combined for a no-hitter, shutting down the Eagles’ offense completely.
“It’s early in the season and everyone has some jitters,” said Ives. “Getting the triple was definitely exciting.”
The Broncos’ strong start to the season is a promising sign for the team as they look to build on their success and continue their winning ways. With solid pitching and a potent offense, Bark River-Harris is proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the baseball scene.
