Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed that the club’s summer transfer plans are ready, with recruitment since his arrival being described as ‘good’. Speaking ahead of the Saturday Night Football clash against Bournemouth, live on Sky Sports, Ten Hag expressed his confidence in the current squad but also hinted at the possibility of adding a proven goalscorer in the upcoming transfer window.
“We are working on our plan, which is ready, it just needs [us] to execute,” said Ten Hag. “I trust the new ownership that they will work as quick as possible and will bring new structures and they can execute.”
The departure of football director John Murtough this week has not deterred Ten Hag from his plans, as he expressed gratitude towards Murtough and emphasized that the conditions at the club are still perfect for success.
With injuries affecting the forward line this season, Ten Hag acknowledged the need for a proven goalscorer to bolster the squad. He highlighted the impact of key players like Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, emphasizing the importance of having multiple options in every position.
Despite the challenges faced this season, Ten Hag remains positive about the direction the club is heading in. He urged fans not to judge the team prematurely and emphasized the importance of fighting till the end of the season.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Manchester United fans will be eagerly anticipating any potential new signings that could further strengthen the squad and help them achieve their goals in the upcoming season. Stay tuned for more updates on Manchester United’s transfer plans.
