Charice Paoli Honored by NHL Coaches Association’s Female Coaches Spotlight
Charice Paoli, a youth hockey coach at Glacier Ice Arena in Vernon Hills, has been recognized for her outstanding work in developing young hockey players. Paoli was recently included among 85 female hockey coaches worldwide in the NHL Coaches Association’s Female Coaches Spotlight. This recognition highlights her dedication and commitment to the sport of hockey.
Paoli has been coaching at Glacier Ice Arena for over 14 years, leading the Little Blackhawks program and all introductory hockey initiatives. She has been instrumental in building a strong foundation for children as young as 3 years old who are eager to learn how to play hockey. Paoli’s passion for the sport and her desire to see her players succeed have made her a respected figure at Glacier Ice Arena.
While Paoli dreams of one day coaching at the professional level with an NHL or AHL franchise, she is content with her current role as a foundational coach. She believes that the work she does with young skaters is crucial to the growth of the game and takes pride in the progress her players make under her guidance.
One of Paoli’s former players, Kayleigh Dunford, recently helped the Chicago Mission’s Tier I Under-14 girls team win a national title, showcasing the impact Paoli has had on her players’ development. Paoli’s dedication to coaching and her ability to inspire young athletes have not gone unnoticed, and she continues to make a positive impact on the hockey community.
