India looks to address weaknesses ahead of Paris Olympics against Australia in fourth men’s hockey Test

India’s men’s hockey team may have already lost the series to Australia, but they are not giving up just yet. With their eyes set on the Paris Olympics, the team is determined to work on their weak links and put up a strong fight in the upcoming fourth Test against the mighty Kookaburras.

The Indians had a rough start to the tour, suffering defeats in the first two Tests. However, they showed great improvement in the third Test, especially in their defensive display. Despite their efforts, they fell short and handed the series to Australia.

Chief coach Craig Fulton is using this series as a testing ground for his strategies ahead of the Paris Games. He acknowledges that there is still a lot of work to be done, especially in finding consistency in the team’s performance.

One of the main areas of concern for India has been their forward line, which has been inconsistent throughout the series. While the defence has shown resilience, the attack has struggled to create opportunities and build sustained pressure on the opposition.

Fulton will need to come up with new tactics to overcome strong teams like Australia in the future. The team’s defence, led by veteran goalkeeper PR Sreejesh, has been commendable, but they will need to maintain their high level of performance in the final Test of the series.

The Perth International Festival of Hockey promises to be an exciting clash between India and Australia, with both teams looking to end the series on a high note. As India looks ahead to the Paris Olympics, they will need to address their weaknesses and fine-tune their game to compete against the best in the world.
