Wales make four changes for Six Nations clash against Ireland
Wales have made four changes to their starting line-up for the upcoming Guinness Six Nations clash against Ireland, with Keira Bevan returning to the starting XV after coming off the bench to score against England.
The scrum-half was dropped to the bench for the England game but made a significant impact when she came on, scoring a try in the second half. Wing Jasmine Joyce also returns after a late withdrawal in the previous match, while flanker Alisha Butchers and prop Sisilia Tuipulotu are back in the starting line-up.
Number eight Gwennan Hopkins is set to make her international debut from the bench, adding depth to the squad as they look to secure a much-needed win in Cork.
Wales are currently at the bottom of the championship standings, having suffered losses against Scotland and England. However, a bonus-point win in Cork could potentially see them rise to third place by the end of the weekend.
Captain Hannah Jones and Kerin Lake will lead the team from the centres, with Bevan partnering Lleucu George in the half-backs. The back line will see Joyce rejoining Carys Cox and Jenny Hesketh.
With the team eager to turn their fortunes around, all eyes will be on the Welsh side as they take on Ireland in what promises to be an exciting and competitive Six Nations encounter.
