Scottish snooker star Graeme Dott has opened up about the personal struggles that have impacted his performance this season, leading to a disappointing drop in the world rankings. The 2006 world champion has faced challenges off the table that have made it difficult for him to focus on his game, resulting in subpar results on the snooker circuit.

Dott, 46, admitted that earlier in the season, he was unable to practice properly and was only relying on the limited practice time available at tournament venues. However, he has since managed to cope better with his personal issues and has been able to dedicate more time to practicing ahead of crucial qualifiers, including the upcoming match against Egypt’s Mostafa Dorgham.

Despite his struggles, Dott remains optimistic about his chances and is determined to make a comeback, especially at the World Championship where he has a strong track record. Known as a Sheffield specialist, Dott has reached three Crucible finals in the past and is eager to return to the iconic venue.
