TV3 and Catalunya Ràdio to Jointly Broadcast 2024 F1 and MotoGP Spanish Grand Prix
The Catalan public broadcasters TV3 and Catalunya Ràdio are set to make history with their joint broadcast of the 2024 F1 and MotoGP Spanish Grand Prix. This exciting announcement was made on Wednesday, much to the delight of sports fans in Catalonia and beyond.
Taking place at the iconic Circuit de Catalunya race track, the MotoGP event will kick off from May 24 to 26, followed by the Formula One championship from June 21 to 23. Thanks to a groundbreaking deal between 3Cat and DAZN, viewers can enjoy live-streamed coverage of both events for free in Catalan on TV3, Catalunya Ràdio, and online.
“This is a historic event that will have a level of technical and personnel deployment never seen before,” the 3Cat team expressed. The agreement for the 2024 edition comes after negotiations between the Catalan business ministry and DAZN, ensuring that fans can witness the thrilling races in their native language.
Rosa Romà, president of 3Cat, emphasized the significance of showcasing such prestigious sporting events in Catalan. “We are regaining the broadcasting rights of content with international reach to explain it in Catalan, bringing together all of our efforts and counting on the best experts on races in the sports sections from Catalunya Ràdio and TV3,” she stated.
With a lineup of experienced presenters and analysts, including Noel Rodríguez, Damià Aguilar, and Laia Ferrer, as well as Sito Pons, Jaume Alguersuari, and Belén García, viewers can expect top-notch coverage and insightful commentary throughout the races.
