Youth Sports Highlights – April 6, 2024

The Hayden Recreation soccer league saw some impressive performances from young athletes in the U8, U10, U12, and U15 coed divisions. In the U8 Coed division, Cooper Leary stole the show with an incredible 5-goal performance for Ash Mountain Legal. Other standout players included Mason Anderson, Connor Ashburn, Jett Jameson, Eli Hocking, and Boss Gustafson, who all made significant contributions to their respective teams.

Moving on to the U10 Coed division, Noah Wilkinson and Peyton Jett stood out with their goal-scoring abilities for Chomper Cafe and Ponderosa Pines Farm, respectively. Valor Cale also impressed for Hayden Canyon Charter with 2 goals to his name.

In the U12 Coed division, Tommy Cooper’s 4-goal display for Lake City Auto Care caught the eye, while Banyan Sisson and Levi Dunn also made valuable contributions to their teams.

Lastly, in the U15 Coed division, Anthony Haller’s 5-goal performance for F.C.A. was a standout moment, along with Clint Harwood’s hat-trick for Hayden Canyon Charter.

In other sports news, the Avant Coeur Boys gymnastics team put on a strong showing at the Regional Championships in Everett, Wash. Level 9 gymnast Conan Tapia impressed with multiple top finishes, while Level 3 gymnast Eric Newell showcased his skills on the floor and parallel bars.

Overall, it was a weekend filled with exciting youth sports action in the Hayden Recreation soccer league and gymnastics competitions. These young athletes continue to showcase their talent and passion for sports, promising a bright future ahead in their respective disciplines.
