Sports Car Crash In Dallas Leaves Four Injured: Kansas City Chiefs Player Takes Responsibility
On Saturday, a high-speed crash involving two sports cars on a Dallas highway left four people with minor injuries, including Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice. The 23-year-old football player was leasing a Lamborghini SUV that was reportedly speeding along with a Corvette when the crash occurred on North Central Expressway.
According to Dallas police, the occupants of the Lamborghini and Corvette fled the scene without providing information or checking on the well-being of others involved in the chain-reaction crash that ultimately involved six vehicles. Mr. Rice has since taken full responsibility for his part in the incident and has pledged to cooperate with authorities.
In a statement posted on social media, Mr. Rice expressed his apologies to those impacted by the accident and assured that he will continue to work with investigators. Dallas police spokesperson Kristin Lowman confirmed that Mr. Rice and his legal team have been in communication with authorities as the investigation progresses.
It was revealed that Mr. Rice was leasing the Lamborghini from The Classic Lifestyle, a Dallas-based exotic car rental company. Under the terms of the lease, he was the only authorized driver of the vehicle, which rents for a hefty sum of $1,750 a day and is valued at around $250,000.
As the investigation continues, Mr. Rice’s attorney, state senator Royce West, has stated that his client will take all necessary steps to address the situation responsibly. The Chiefs, Mr. Rice’s team, have acknowledged the incident but have refrained from commenting further at this time. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
