“Volunteer Registration Opens for 2024 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku City Circuit”
The Baku City Circuit Operations Company (BCCOC) has officially opened the volunteer registration phase for the highly anticipated Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Set to take place for the eighth time in the vibrant city of Baku, Azerbaijan, the event is looking to enlist the help of 1,500 volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the race.
Volunteers who successfully make it through the selection process will be assigned to various crucial areas such as human resources, workforce, media operations, grandstands, track, office, and airport operations. Irana Ahmadova, the head of the Human Resources and Workforce Department at BCCOC, highlighted the significance of training for the volunteers.
“As you may know, the BCC Academy operates under the auspices of the Baku City Circuit Operations Company. Just like in previous years, we plan to conduct various training sessions aimed at the personal and professional development of our volunteers in addition to the race preparations. The goal of these training sessions is to enhance team spirit among the youth, improve their ability to work in teams, and contribute to their future development,” Ahmadova stated.
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix is scheduled to thrill fans from September 13 to 15 as the 13th race on the 2024 Formula 1 calendar. Last year’s event saw Red Bull Racing’s Sebastian Perez emerge victorious, showcasing an impressive display of skill and speed on the challenging Baku City Circuit.
Known for its unique layout that winds through the streets of Baku, the circuit offers a thrilling experience for both drivers and spectators. With long straights and narrow sections next to the historic Old City walls, the Baku City Circuit is renowned as the “fastest street circuit in the world.” Measuring 6.003 kilometers in length, it stands as the second-longest track on the current F1 calendar, promising an exhilarating race for all involved.
